konqueror, xine-mozilla plugin

is there anybody out there that can tell me how to add a service to the embedded tab of file assosiations in kde. i'm trying to get the xine mozilla plugin working with konqueror. i got it working in mozilla, but mozilla isn't my browser of choice due to some laptop issue regarding movies with sound and other applications using sound conflicts.

anyway i figure i can get it to work if i can find a way to add a service to the embedded tab of file associations. then i can tell konq to use the xine-mozilla plugin instead of the netscape plugin viewer.

the reason for this is to view quicktime movies in the browser. i know i'll to manually change every file association for this.

screenshot of what i'm talking about

basically if i click the add button, there's no way to input the link to the xine-mozilla plugin.

thanks for your consideration in this matter. :)

edit: oh yeah, i did try out gxine, but gxine kept crashing mozilla 1.4 so i uninstalled it.

okay. figured it out but it didn't work. change of plan. anybody know what the filename for the quicktime plugin class would be? i tried using the plugin name (QuicktimePlugin.class) for the link to xineplugin.so from my mozilla plugins folder in windows which doesn't work due to the fact it's qt 5, but was sort of excited that i got a grey outline of the player on apple's quicktime site as opposed to the plugger output of couldn't load plugin. i think quicktime may be viewable if i can just change the link's name in /usr/local/mozilla/plugins that points to xineplugin.so. so again, anyone know the filename of the quicktime plugin class?

edit: nevermind. i downloaded and installed qt6 for windows and the plugin uses the same name. there's something else that needs to be done. i'm just gonna give up on konq being able to play qt movies from apple's site in the browser for now.
