konqueror won't work after after wake mandriva 2006 up from screen saver
I just installed mandriva 2006 free edition, everything looks ok, until it went to screen saver mode, after the waking up, I tried to use konqueror to browse some files and it try to run but suddenly stop.So from KDE I can't use konqueror as a file manager. the only solution that I found so far is re-start the system and then konqueror start working again.
If somebody has had a similar problem, I would appreciate an advice. Thank you. Nila 56 |
Do you have Konq preload when KDE starts? Check the configuration under "Performance" and turn off preloading and try it.
Also try starting a root version of Konq in a terminal. It uses a diff config file. If it works OK then it could be in the user config file. ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc Good Luck KC |
Thank, Kencaz for give me something to try, as soon get home I will try it.
Thank again. Nila 56 |
Hi,Hencaz
well i did what you advised me and none of the suggestion works,so when a try to launch konqueror from the terminal, this is what shows up: QMultiInputContext::ChangeInputMethod(): index-0, slave=xim then stay there and nothing happen. |
