Konqueror Quality?


Does anyone else have a problem with Konqueror freezing on certain webpages because khtml couldn't parse the page properl?. version 3.3.2. I use firefox now and it is way better.

I have KDE3.2 though. I did have 3.3 when I tried gentoo.

The reason I use Konqueror is for probably the same reason that Win users use
Internet Explorer. It's just there when you reinstall your OS.

Firefox: Liked it when it first began. Because mozilla was a huge program and I got tired of IE, back when i used windows.

I wish some one built a desktop window manager that used it as a file manager.

If it freezes, then only for 1-2 seconds, and because it wants to load a certain plugin (kplayer, for example)
Can you give the website you had troubles with?

I occassionally have that problem, but as mentioned above it usually happens on pages that need plugins like java or flash.

It will freeze temporarily on sites that has flash in it. And yes this is a known problem.
