Konqueror not working

Somehow , my root account has damaged konqueror.
If I try to open home folder from desktop, it opens fine in dual pane.

But if I open any other folder on my desktop. Konqueror fails to load. Mouse pointer shows animation and mouse pointer keeps working. Infact whole system is working but Konqueror just wont load.

Similarly Konqueror Web Browser fails to load.

If logged on from account other than root. There are no problems at all in loading Konqueror.

Fresh install?

You can say it was a fresh Install.

Worked fine for a day or two.

well first...in my opinion you should never log on as root...2nd...mozilla and netscape are good too for the web

Do you see any messages in /var/log/messages?
What messages show if you run konqueror from the command line?

One possibility is that you are missing some setup files, and konq might tell you when it tries to start.

Oh, and yeah: don't run konq (or any other browser) as root. Bad habit

There is no error that I am getting.
No error in log files, no crash message.
Just that the folder wont open.

Will installing konqueror rpm solve this ? Which rpm should i install.
