ok i have mandrake 10.0 running on 2.6.3-4mdk , i upgraded the kernal from the automtic update to 3-8dk or something...and ndisloader refused to work or install on this kernal, so i reverted back to 3-4 as there was no real problem at all..works lovely. however since i upgraded the desktop stops working, any folders i put on there and the wastebin refuse to open..it used to give me a "kfilereplace libs not in pathed file" or something to that effect, so i removed the new kernel and found a lib for kfilereplace on the install software. since i installed that the wastebin opens in konqeurer and gives me a "new search and replace project" and then promptly does a linux crash - no prob cos u just click ok...not like windows!!...but its still very annoying and also it has a habit of coming up with some random file replace thing that i dont understand when u switch between file and net browsing on konqeurer ....anyone help!?!??? id rather not have to install my linux again...but it is my baby!!
many thank fitz
