I am having problems with Konqueror under Slackware 9.1 ... I think the KDE version is 3.1.4. Every time i try to go to a website it opens up the save dialog box instead of the page itself. I tried uninstalling the package for KDEbase (which i believe contains the Konqueror app) and then re-installing it... nadas... even went into the configuration and reset everything to the defaults... nadas. It started after i tried to add Kwrite to the list of associated applications for html files... but now under the associations it says that Konqueror can;t even read that file type. It worked fine to begin with... but then it got really screwy. Can anyone help?

It would appear that you changed file associations..go back into control center and edit the associations: control center>lde components
