When I use Knoppix V4 to edit file , I received this message :

You do not have enough permission to read file://mnt/hdb4/boot/grub/menu.lst

To edit by text editor such as vim: su root; supply root password; vim /boot/grub/menu.lst.

To use gui editor as root: as user, give the command 'xhost +localhost'. Su to root, and start the gui editor from the command line: /opt/kde3/bin/kwrite (or whichever editor you choose to use).

Is this when I boot my PC as normal or when I boot my PC by using Knoppix CD?
If I boot my PC as normal into Linux, I have got no problem, but when I boot my PC by using Knoppix I can not edit it. I tried to use gedit editor.
