knoppix livedvd 5.3 wifi cards won't work..
 

Hi everyone , I have recently recived a knoppix 5.3 live dvd.. I use panasonic cf-48 laptops and use Ubuntu 8.04 and Linux Mint.. I use orinoco gold and silver cards. Out out of all the cards I tried nothing worked.. Knoppix did'nt detect any of them. I am wondering how to get the pcmcia up. I tried everything.. from the help which does'nt have the info for the pcmcia , tried to get ifup going on the command line and this is not ubuntu..So I need to know what I would need to do to get knoppix to see my cards.. I have 2-2WIRE orinoco gold -1-Lucent tech.orinoco silver and a buffalo card...I'd pull my hair out , but I don't have any.. Do I have to install to a HD to get things to work??? Thanks....
