KnetworkManager: How to configure to use Nokia C5 to connect to internet
Hallo:
I use OpenSuse 11.3, kde. Can any tell me how to I have to configure KnetworkManager for using my Nokia c5 to connect to internet using a USB Cable (or bluetooth). I'm in Spain, Vodafone. Thanks |
I've found the solution. Was easy, but found by causality:
This is what I've done: - Join the telephone by USB. - Start KnetworkManager. - Access to the mobil tab. - Create a new connection with this information: - Number: *99# - Username: vodafone. - pass: vodafone - APN: airtelnet.es (no sure if this is necessary. I've put it and works...) - pin: The pin number of the SIM (the number you type for start the telephone). - puk: Not put. - On PPP tab: - Default options (all enabled except MPPE, and send echo packages of PPP). - If you enable the option to connect automatically, as soon as you plug the telephone usb wire , it connects (not needed to select PC Suite or Ovi Suite) And now it works. And a new question: - Does any know how to do the same with Bluetooth instead of using usb cable? |
