kmix window startup

Hi all,
I have an IBM laptop running Slackware 10.2 with KDE 3.4.2. For the volume buttons on the laptop, I use the KMilo plugin for IBM Thinkpads. Every time I start up KDE, the KMix window pops up as it is restoring the volumes. Is there any way to disable the window from popping up during startup while keeping the program running?
Thanks,

You have probably set kde to "Restore previous session".
The bit you need to go and have a look at is under KDE Control-Components-Session Manager". You could either set it to "Start with an empty session", or "Restore manually saved session", and then close the kmix window, and choose "Save Session" from the K("Start") menu.
