kmail forwarding and replying error

Hi
I have two mail accounts, a gmail and a gmx account (default). Kmail downloads emails from both mail services correctly. Kmail sends emails which I create from new. Kmail forwards and replys to emails arriving from gmx without issue. Kmail gives me and error :- The server did not accept the sender address "example.smith@gmail.com" The server responded:"5.7.0 Sender address does not belong to logged in user {mp-eu001}" when I try to reply or forward a messsage which came from gmail.

I am unsure how to correct this problem and any help would surely be appreciated.

Thanks

Iain

In kmail, click on the Settings menu. Once in the kmail settings, click on Accounts. Select the gmail account and click on Modify to edit the settings. In the dialog box that comes up, click on the General tab. Make sure you have checkthe the "server requires authintication" box, enter your gmail username and password, check the "store smtp password" box.

Next, click on the Security tab. Click the button at the bottom (check what the server supports) to get the encryption (if any) and authintication method. When that's done, click OK to close the dialog. Click on Apply the the Settings screen, then OK to close.

Then try forwarding a gmail message.

Sadly no that did not work. I think maybe I did not express my self very well in my question. What I would like is for all of my outgoing emails to be sent through GMX whilst having the ability to receive email from GMX and GMAIL. I have used Gnome/Ubuntu for some years and evolution always used GMX to send, reply and forward messages regardless of which mail service the email came from. Thanks for the suggestion.
