Kmail; unrecognized transport protocol when sending.

Hey Every1;

I suddenly developed a problem out of nowhere. Whenever i try to use kmail to send mail using SMTP i get a " Unrecognized transport protocol" error message.
I double checked all my settings, even firewall.
This started after i recently started using IMAP with Gmail. Im not sure it that might be the cause but i'm gonna investigate.

Basically, you use IMAP to get your mail, and SMTP to send mail. Here's a good article at RedHat that explains it.

OK, weird. I started using thunderbird and it was cool- a little too resource intensive.
Then when i checked kmail, it sends messages now. I does that a lot. When i try to send emails, it says unrecognized transport protocol, but when i leave it alone for a while it works again.
I didn't make any changes to kmail since i posted here and now its fixed by itself. oh, well, if it aint broke.
