Kile in Kubuntu - Compiler problems
Hi people.
I'm a newbie in Linux and I barely know how it works. Since I am a Latex and Winedt user I tried to install Kile on my Kubuntu installation. Too much problems for the moment in the installation cause I got the error for compiling. In concrete the error is that the libstdcc++-dev file is not installed but apparently I checked all the packages and all of them are perfect. Moreover, since I don't know how to use Linux I don't know if I have to install manually such files. Does anybody know any solution? I'm getting frustrated. I need to start to work with kile soon. Thanks in advance. |
try using apt-get check
You need to be root to run it but it will check for problems with the packages. if you want to get libstdcc++-dev then: apt-get install libstdcc++-dev This will download and install the package. apt-get runs from terminal. (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) I'm not entirely sure about this becuase I don't have Kubuntu but Ubuntu. So if this doesn't apply to you then ignore it. |
Thanks. I solved the problem thanks to a guy who also has kubuntu and kile. He just installed from the repository with the command line.
