kfmclient doesn't want to open filemanagement
Hello, Guys!
I'm having this konqueror bug since some weeks ago. I hate it. I'm using Mandrake 9.1. It works just fine. ;) I use KDE as my main window manager. When I click on the home icon on the desktop or on the taskbar (the shortcut) nothing shows up. I decided to check the url they have. It says: kfmclient openProfile filemanagement. When I run it ('kfmclient openProfile filemanagement')from the console, I get this message: ERROR: Couldn't start konqueror from konqueror.desktop: KDEInit could not launch 'kfmclient' Thats all I can get directly from it. I checked for the help available of the kfmclient command. I saw that using the openProfile will actually open a file located in ~/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/profiles I checked for the file in my home, but dodn't find it. But I check for it on the file tree. It's here: /usr/share/apps/konqueror/profiles/filemanagement I copied it to my home... didn't work. What I finally did was run konqueror, and asked it to retrieve the profile... and it worked. Can anybody tell me where the problem is? Thanks! |
"Can anybody tell me where the problem is?"
I don't think that kfmclient will run without an argument list. kfmclient will not run on my machine kfmclient openProfile filemanagement will run on my machine. ___________________________________ Be prepared.
