Keystroke Launcher?

In Ubuntu Fiesty, and the gnome deskbar applet isn't doing it for me, I'm used to launchy in Windows and two vital things are missing for me, file indexing from the bar, Beagle is really nice but its an extra step, and the operator shortcuts, if you've used launchy you'll know what I mean. All you have to do to search googe is type some variation on "Google| searchterm" which is nice, and deskbar needs a "beagle|search term" "firefox|searchterm" "windowswitch|search term" etc.

Is there a more suitable launcher suitable for Gnome?
