Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel

I've googled this and got some insight on the problem but still do not understand what I need to do to fix it. I recompiled my kernel and recieved this after it. my / partition is on /dev/sda4 and my /boot partition is on /dev/sda2. I think it mounts 2 ok and loads the kernel image fine, but it has trouble when mounting /dev/sda4 is my guess? I'm using slackware 10.2 and lilo as my boot loader.

Fixed, it was just pointing to my root= was pointing to my /boot and it should have been pointing to my /, sorry.. I tried it before, but at that time I had another problem that I fixed, but at the same time I had changed it to root=/dev/sda2 (which is my /boot) and I figured that was why the previous problem had been fixed.

^^^ Refering to my lilo.conf file
