Kernel Panic No Init Found Solution


Hey All,
It took me a long while to find the answer to this question, so here it is:
If you add a new hard drive partition and the root partition for you linux system gets changed (ie from hda1 to hda2), you might get a no init found error when booting. What worked for me was to use the following command after pressing Esc at Lilo:
linux root=/dev/hda* (replace the * with your roots new partition number)
