Kernel Options


I want to compile a custom kernel for my hardware, I have a Asus a7n8x deluxe, with an Ahlon XP, can some post their kernel config file that has compiled one for their a7n8x board

go to your kernel source directory
usually /usr/src/linux
do
make oldconfig;make dep && make bzImage && make modules && make install
That should suffice.
or if you want to customize the kernel that you want to build
instead of make oldconfig
try make menuconfig(for ncurses interface) where you can choose what you want with your kernel
or
make xconfig(when you are using X)
