Kernel differences

I was wondering where can I read about the differences between the 2.4 kernel and the 2.6 kernel. Im using MDK 10 and was wondering specifically which one is better and why.

Obviously the later revised one is probably better, I would just like to know what has changed. Thanks!!

Will
