I recently changed my desktop environment to KDE and I downloaded the KDM Theme manager so i could change the look of the login screen. Well I can't understand how to install the program. The program's webpage which is:

Gave directions on how to install, but I simply do not understand. These are teh directions:

to install:
make -f Makefile.cvs
./configure `kde-config --prefix`
make
su -c "make install"


Can anyone help me out I am a Newbie!!

You should run some term (from KDE menu), change directory go to that where you have kdmtheme-0.9.tar.bz2 downloaded and
apply the sequence:

> tar xvfj kdmtheme-0.9.tar.bz2
> cd kdmtheme-0.9
> make -f Makefile.cvs
> ./configure `kde-config --prefix`
> make
> su -c "make install"

or the last one may be:
> sudo make install

that's all.

Don't forget to run ./configure
If you haven't done so in a while, run ./configure --help

any ideas on whats going wrong?
