Question KDM configuration for root login

My laptop has the latest/greatest ubuntu (Linux linuxskip 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu). I run kdm as my graphical login, but I am unable to locate the kdm-config files as mentioned in prior posts here. Help, please?

Code:
updateb
locate kdmrc
Edit this line to look like
Quote:
# Allow root logins?
# Default is true
AllowRootLogin=true
And don't forget with Ubuntu you will have to create a root password before you can login with root at all... graphical or otherwise.

Moved to a separate thread---please do not jump into old threads---especially 5 years old.

I created a title which captures what the old thread was about.

if you do not know how to do this then you should NOT be doing this .

there is a good reason that root login into kde and gnome is blocked .

if you can not find the answer to this -all on your own - then you should not be logging in as root into a GUI .
