kdm&keyboard problem

hello

i just recently upgraded from kde305 to kde310. everything used to work fine, i used the "old" kdm to select between window manages and to log in graphically.

in the new version of kdm (the one which cam with kde310) has a problem though. it starts, but i cant do anything with the keyboard. even the numlock/capslock/scrolloc leds cant be activated when using kdm!!! it just seems that my keyboard vanishes when starting kdm...

everything else works fine, I can log in to console, start X, fire up any wm (kde310 works too strangely), but with kdm... as I said. its strange...

can anyone tell me anything what to do about this? there should be no confilcts with old libs (I cleaned up everything very carefully) or configs or whatever...

thanks

raven
