kdict is hanging

hello,

The kde dictionary kdict is having trouble finding words. I do a search and it just hangs. Then when I close it it is still running (my mouse icon is still the searching icon...you know what I mean )

So I tried gnome-dictionary ....the same thing happend? Is there something going on with the online dictionary servers?

Also, why does it keep running but when I do ps -aux | grep "kdict" I get nothing? Is there another way to see the listing of processes (besides top)?

Thanks for the help

Later

Oh yeah....I am using the xfce window manager so I am not loading up into kde or gnome....however this has never been a problem before.

Hey thanks for the reply. Sorry I didn't reply sooner but I was away from my computer all weekend....don't know what I was thinking

Anyway, good idea...run it from the console and check for errors (slaps head). However, when I ran it this morning, it was fine? Strange. There must have been something wrong with the online database or something. Anyway, it seemed to fix itself. I don't like it when that happens but what can you do.
