Kded and Qfile::Open

Hello!

My KDE starts with running a KDED service. I do not know what this is. Also, the service is always outputting onto the console Qfile::Open file not found.

What is going on and how can I get rid of this?

Thanks!
Murdock

If I understand correctly, kded is a daemon that waits for requests from apps to create new windows and widgets. I think you will want to leave this one running, as if you kill I think KDE will either restart it, or not work properly.

When I close an X session there are always lots of warning messages and such in the console. Why are you so concerned about it? As long as everything works OK I wouldn't worry too much.

Well, it concerns me because it is apparent a lost process is running if it is giving error after error.

Also, I can't read any other warnings because it is surrounded with these error lines.

An unused process also slows down a system.

Get the drift?
