KDE window edges - how do i grab and resize when maximized?
I love that, in KDE, i can grab the edge of a maximized window and pull it smaller. Every time I sit at a Windows box I curse this lack of simple functionality.
Now I installed Kubuntu (6.06), and my maximized windows no longer have this grabability. (kde 3.5.2) Anyone know what I need to do to make this possible? reference to a similar question on the same topic (not resolved) http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=252499 |
Don't you just hold alt or ctrl then you left click or right click?
Check your preferences to see if you disabled the "alt" button thing. |
that may be... but without using the keyboard?
I want the window frames to be always a click-and-drag away from being smaller... i would think that there is something in the KDE Control Center but I've not seen it... |
It's there, at least in KDE 3.5.3.:D

YES! Thank you!
For those who cannot read the German in that screenshot and come across this post later, in my KDE3.5.2 this behavior is changed in: System Settings/Desktop/Window Behavior/Moving tab: [x] Allow moving and resizing of Maximized Windows Thank youse both Chuong and spirit receiver! |
