KDE W/ java doesn't display popup applet correctly

I am using Slack 9.1, KDE 3.4.1, Mozilla 1.5 and java 1.4.2.
A web/java based program we can access on windows 2K w/Mozilla 1.5 and java 1.4.2 displays the home page correctly but on the linux box it displays a popup applet completely blacked out. If I point the mouse to the proper spot in that area, the mouse click works correctly. I suspect the linux version of java not supporting all java calls. Anyone else had probs?
I get the same results w/Opera 7.23

Try updating your plugin. Go to Sun and download the newest version. Maybe it will work after that.
