KDE vs. Gnome vs. ?

ok, here I sit trying to decide on which environment to use, KDE, Gnome or something else, but cant decide, where do the strenths and weaknesses lay with them? I just about have my LFS sysem up and running, and I would like to know which one I want to use before I get there. Any insight would be greatly welcomed.

It is almost entirely a personal preference. I prefer gnome, but many people also prefer kde.

Yea...i agree with Crazy Traivs. It should be a personal choice.no one can tell you which one to use.
that said, you might want to take a look at this site:

KDE provides a fully integrated suite of apps while Gnome seems more like a collection of apps to me. KParts lets you embed application components into larger unified projects, for example. There's nothing wrong with Gnome though; there are several apps, like gFTP, I even prefer using (KBear stinks.) Just seems to me that without the high level of integration I might as well be using fluxbox. :D I don't mind bloat if it serves a purpose. Useless bloat bothers me though. ;) But opinions vary and like others have said it's largely a matter of personal preference.
