Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I have KDE's Kpager running in the upper right hand corner of the screen and using 4 desktops in "Classic view".
Here's the problem...
Periodically, Kpager gets 'confused'. Say desktop 1 is highlighted (top row left corner desktop). I use active boarders so I can mouse scroll to the neighboring desktops. I slide my mouse to the horizontally to the right boarder to move to desktop 2 (top right corner desktop). Kpager however now shows I'm on desktop 3 (bottom left corner)!! That moved me down, not horizontal!
Start again at desktop 1 (top row left corner desktop). I scroll the mouse vertically to the bottom boarder to move to desktop 3 (bottom left corner). Kpager now shows I'm on desktop 2 (top right corner desktop).
Simply put, when i scroll horizontal kpager moves me vertically, when i scroll vertical, kpager moves me horizontal. This is very confusing!
My "work around" so far has been to kill Kpager and launch a "Child taskbar" with JUST the start bar pager. This would be fine, but I need the functionality Kpager provides by allowing me to drag 'n drop program windows from one desktop to another. I do not see an option to enable this ability on the taskbar pager.
Any 'fix" for kpager or walkthrough on getting the taskbar pager to allow drag 'n drop would be great.
