KdE key bindings, help!

Hey, i've been running Fedora core 2 for a good 8 months now. I've recently switched to KdE from Gnome. I was trying to make a new entry in the KdE menu, so that i could bind a specific command to key sets. In the hope of having global keys for controlling XMMS through XMMSctrl. however when i made then entries, saved, and closed the editor, the keys didn't seem to run the command. When i went back to find the entries, they had disappeared. Fair enough i thought, odd bug but i'll come back to it. Until i discovered they bindings hadn't disappeared, only the menu entries. Now when i try to press Shift+d, KdE catches it and the underlying app doesn't get the key stroke! so TAB, shift +d and a couple of other key combos are doing nothing! its bloody crippling especially with tab auto complete in the console.
I have searched and searched but cant find any kde config files for bindings.
Can any one help me, I've tried resetting the application shortcuts to default, logging in and out and rebooting. To no avail.
btw this is the reason its KdE, not KDE, cos i cant be arsed to turn caps lock on just for 1 letter. and i cant use shift+d...
why didn't i use more benine key combos!
thanks loads
-Jet

Ok ignore the above. Found them. In Hot keys, for some reason there was still no entry in the menu but in the control pannel under regional and accessibility there are "hot keys" they were all listed there and deletable or re assignable.

Will leave this post here as help to any other idiots like me.
