KDE GUI building program

Do you think that the KDE team should include a program that can build programs in a GUI enviroment?

I think that it would be helpful to be able to click (or run manually) on a ./configure file and have a frontend (make and checkinstall?) open with options to configure/build/install programs. That way new linux users won't be a afraid of learning linux or return to using windows.

I am sure that all the CLI users will end up flaming me, but I like using the CLI to install programs. I am just throwing out some ideas to make linux easier for new users that are computer illiterate.

Ideas?? Thoughts??

That would be a good idea:
Have a program, maybe called 'run-me-to-install'
Have it present the user with the possible options for 'configure' and what they do, and ask the user which to use.
Then it runs 'configure' w/ the appropriate options... then make ... then asks to become root ... then does 'make install' (or checkinstall).
It would be a lot easier.

It would have to resolve dependencies to be really usefull. That's something distros should look into.
