kde file associations gone crazy

hey everyone,

i opened something and kwrite and checked "remember association for this file", but now my kde file associations are royally screwed up. Freaking everything tries to open in kwrite. Folders, even when i select a hard drive in the kde devices section it tries to open in kwrite. I've checked in file associations and don't see what got mis set. Any ideas?

Thanks,
-fibbi

Hi fibbi!!!

Go into KDE - Control Center. Inside "KDE Components" you will find "File Associations". Click on it and notice that at the bottom of the that window, you have "Defaults". Clicking on it will restore KDE to it's default. You might consider to associate files and programs through Control Center in the future. You can associate nearly all file types and programs from there and it's just much easier to do

Regards!
