kde destroyed

I have unfortunately removeall the files from the root directory. The problem is that in the root folder were saved some hidden files of the KDE. Now the KDE cannot start. Any suggestion how i can fix this thing?

I don't understand... From which directory did you remove all the files?

directory. Do not forget that the /root directory is something like /home/root. So i deleted the files inside the /root folder. This has cause the kde of the root user to crash. So Is there any way for recovering?

Yep, I know how /root works. But the term "root directory" refers to /.

Anyways, since you should have another ordinary user somewhere around /home, why don't you try copying the necessary files and folders from there? Which ever that would be... Maybe at least .kde and .kderc.

Or if that doesn't bring it alive, create a new user and start KDE as that user, and copy the files from that users directory. Then they'll be all fresh and new and untampered.
