KDE Button Problem
Dear all, sorry for the title - but this is quite a difficult problem
to describe in a title. What is happening is that when KDE draws the box
around a button I hover over with the cursor, it does it wrong when the
button have a dropdown triangle on it.
This screenshot should explain it:
http://www.bits.bris.ac.uk/wellconne.../Konqueror.png
This happens with everything from Konqueror to amaroK, as long as the
button has a dropdown traingle on it.
This is really annoying me. I have not destroyed my KDE, because if
I do as root, this problem does not occur.
Could anyone tell me what settings files to try to reset to fix this?
Thanks,
Riddick

By chance? What was your reasoning behind that? And as to nobody answering, might that not be due to the posssibility that nobody had a solution? At least I had none but still subscribed to your thread to learn...

by chance what? Learning is always good. I reported back to say I'd made it, so if anyone had a similar probem they could post here and I could explain, which I have now done.

Indeed. What I meant is, whether you restored ~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals, and afterwards noticed by chance that the buttons are working as they should, or whether you knew that exactly this restoration would repair the problem so you did it for this purpose and if the latter, how you came to this conclusion.

You didn't entirely. When I can reconstruct your thinking or follow your logic, then I will have learnt a viable solution for a problem -- that's what I'm trying to do here, learning ... .
