KDE and hard disk crash of home dir
Got an interesting problem.
Running Red Hat 8.0 but was NFS mounting my home directory from a Solaris server and of course the disk with my data on hit crashes. My data was restored, but I cannot login to either KDE or GNOME environment at this point...
Question is, how do I restore the "default" values that either GNOME or KDE give to me (ie: the .kde directory or the .gnome directory)?
I think the problem is something got trashed there during the death of that disk and I just want to get the defaults back so I can login via either KDE or GNOME.
I am able use the failsafe option and can access TWM.
