Angry KDE 3 Single-Click Annoyance!

I can put up with single-clicking on the desktop, but it makes the Konqueror completely unuasble for local browsing. Worse of all, I can find no obvious way to turn it off, and switch to double-clicking for activating, and single clicking for selecting.
Could someone please point out where I'm being so stupid, so I can fix it and go on using Konqueror.
Thanks
Guy

for me using asp linux 3.1.1 for rh 7.3, it's in Control Center > Peripherals > Mouse. you'll see the double click option in there.
it's exact location for you maybe different depending on the distro you use and version of kde you use, but it is in the control center.

Now I feel thick. I was looking in the Konqueror or Desktop settings all this time.
Thanks a lot! I can relax now.
