KDE 3.3.2 Audio Ripping
Happy New Year
I recently emerge kde-3.3.2 &
I can't use konqueror's Audio CD browser to convert audio cds to ogg.
When I click Audio CD browser it gives an err msg "Protocol Not Supported"
I just look at the KDE Control Center but I couldn't find Audio CDs under Sound & Multimedia.
How can I solve this problem?

it's because you didn't have cdparanoia in your USE, you need to reemerge kdemultimedia with USE="cdparanoia" emerge kdemultimedia

What does this mean? it's because you didn't have cdparanoia in your USE, you need to reemerge kdemultimedia with USE="cdparanoia" emerge kdemultimedia.
What does this mean?
How do I reemerge with kdemultimedia?
Curious about it.
Thanks for the help.

Not Gentoo man here. Do the old source tar-ball way, RPM, and Apt ways. System is not really a specfic linux distro no more. Piece of this a piece of that.
Thanks for the info

I think portage dosn't overwrite major version changes like 3.2.0 to 3.3.0.
Because KDE uses a new directory for their major version changes..
like /usr/kde/3.2, /usr/kde/3.3
So we have to clean it before updating to a major version..
