kde 3.2.3 doesn't start.

I use slackware 9.1. I had kde3.2.2 & I downloaded new kde packages, from one of the slackware.com mirrors. I did upgradepkg of them. Than I've startx 'ed them and the result I got was: grey screen (like it was normally going to start) and a white window with console and bash#2.05... (?! this is shitty I tell you...) and then the kde went freeze. I can only ctrl+c this. Console gives no useful information. I'm preety tired with it. I tried mixing qt with different versions of it... nothing. I tried to go back to kde.3.2.2, and the problem is the same. help me:[
sorry for bad English.

it does dependencies and stuff - that might be what caused the problem.

btw after having and seeing on this forum a bunch of problems with slack9.1 and kde 3.2.x, i gave up and got dropline gnome, and ive never looked back (especially since, if you have kde installed, kde progs work fine in gnome - except all ugly and fat, but thats just kde). http://www.dropline.net/gnome/ if you want it. the install is so simple, and it worked perfectly afterwards.
