Question KDE 2.2.2 - Kppp / pppd problem

Running Debian woody, KDE v2.2.2. I am using pppconfig and pon/poff right now to connect to the internet using my dialup account. This works great. But, when I set up kppp to be my dialer, it will dial the number and connect, but when it starts pppd I get the error below. I have even tested as root, and still get the error. Anyone seen this before? Thanks in advance -

Nov 2 18:40:05 debian pppd[331]: The remote system is required to authenticate itself
Nov 2 18:40:05 debian pppd[331]: but I couldn't find any suitable secret (password) for it to use to do so.
Nov 2 18:40:05 debian pppd[331]: (None of the available passwords would let it use an IP address.)

Have a look in /etc/ppp/pap-secrets,it just possible that it is not set up correctly.Your username and password should be in there.
