kcontrol: WARNING: No K menu group with X-KDE-BaseGroup=settings found !

When I start kcontrol from a terminal I get the following error:

Code:
kcontrol: WARNING: No K menu group with X-KDE-BaseGroup=settings found ! Defaulting to Settings/
Kcontrol worked in the beginning but one day when I started it ALL the menu items from the "Index" tab had disappeared (?!).

I've Suse 10.0, Gnome desktop. Reinstalling KDE Base does not help. Neither does deleting ~/.kde.

Do you hav all these files?
"/usr/bin/kcontrol"
"/usr/share/apps/kcontrol"
"/usr/share/doc/HTML/en/kcontrol"
These are what i hav when i do a search for files named kcontrol. All the searches I've done on google say that you have to reinstall KDE but I dont thanh thats rite.
GOOD LUCK!
