kcmshell module, Background&Screensaver Module can't be launch (but works @LookNFeeL)
kcmshell screensaver
or
kcmshell background
will result in an Error - Module of configuration of KDE
* Error in your KDE upgrade
* Some alone module somewhere
But its not the real problem !
Because both Back ground & Screen saver modules are OK!
In Look N Feel, for example.. and When I rightclick the desktop (to configure it) it works too and I can switch to my favorite image.
Anyway, so, what's the prob?
I ask but I'm sure no one knows
at least, I will return the output in the console (its some big light but even with this I can't figure it out):
kcmshell screensaver
kio (KSycoca): Trying to open ksycoca from /var/tmp/kdecache-bobby/ksycoca
kcmshell: [KCModuleInfo::KCModuleInfo(KSharedPtr<KService>)] /home/bobby/.local/share/applications/menu-xdg/X-Mandrakelinux/System/Configuration/GNOME/Screensaver.desktop
kcmshell: WARNING: Module /home/bobby/.local/share/applications/menu-xdg/X-Mandrakelinux/System/Configuration/GNOME/Screensaver.desktop doesn't specify a library!
kcmshell background
kio (KSycoca): Trying to open ksycoca from /var/tmp/kdecache-bobby/ksycoca
kcmshell: [KCModuleInfo::KCModuleInfo(KSharedPtr<KService>)] /home/bobby/.local/share/applications/menu-xdg/X-Mandrakelinux/System/Configuration/GNOME/Background.desktop
kcmshell: WARNING: Module /home/bobby/.local/share/applications/menu-xdg/X-Mandrakelinux/System/Configuration/GNOME/Background.desktop doesn't specify a library!
Why does it try to launch that GNOME/Background.desktop, that's related to the Gnome Control Center > Background thing... So... WTF ?!
an example working:
kcmshell style
kio (KSycoca): Trying to open ksycoca from /var/tmp/kdecache-bobby/ksycoca
kcmshell: [KCModuleInfo::KCModuleInfo(KSharedPtr<KService>)] /home/bobby/.local/share/applications/menu-xdg/X-Mandrakelinux/System/Configuration/KDE/LookNFeel/style.desktop
Same as root..
I tried to delete ksycoca, and delete the GNOME/Desktop.background, or replace it with the KDE/desktop.background link..
FFS, Give me somewhere to look @. Because I'm lost!
ps: kernel 2.6.3-7
mandrake 10 with upgrade (kde 3.3.2-x and somes 3.3.2-xx, xorg 6.8.1, etc..)
Thanks for your help!
