KBirthday does not stay installed in KDE

I recently downloaded the KBirthday applet which is a kicker extension like KWeather and the rest, it uses dates in KAddressBook to remind you of birthdays and anniversaries. However there is a fault in it, at least in the Mandrake build, that means that it is not saved when you exit a KDE session.

I'm sure that this problem can be solved by adding an entry to a file, anyone know what or how?
