Kbear login

I'm using Kbear in Suse 10
When trying to login, always receive the following message :

"Login failed.
530 not logged in.
Try again ?"

And when I try again, I can access the server.
What's wrong ?

Two reasons
1. Server's down for maintenance
2. Server does not allow anonymous logins

I don't think is one of that two reasons :
My connection is not anonymous (I have an user name and password) and I've tried, sucessfully, login with another client (ws_ftp for win xp).
The strange is that the problem not occurs in KBear when I try connect manually, i.e. not using sitemanager !
