Unhappy k9copy DVDs unplayable in Windows

k9copy 1.2.3, KDE 3.5.9 (running on Debian Lenny 2.6.26 with KDE4)

When I create DVDs with k9copy and burn the .iso with k3b, i cannot get these to play on a Windows computer, nor on an Apple computer.

I need to make a 'master DVD' which will have 500 copies made from it, and we've done one of these and all of the people that we have sent them to are unable to play this DVD on their computers (500 'failed' copies!?) They do play on standalone players, luckily.

We have traced it back to the 'master DVDs' that I have created with k9copy. The copies (and the masters) do play in a DVD player, and also seem to work fine when using VLC but most people don't have this.

What could I do differently to master these DVDs to be playable on Windows?? I have no idea what software the various 500 people are using to play this, but I assume many use Microsoft Windows Media Player on Windows...

Here are my library versions:

If they play in normal DVD players but not under Windows, then that suggests to me that the Windows users aren't using a program that can play DVDs (Media Player doesn't have a DVD decoder).

That was my thought, but I've been told that these Windows computers can play 'normal' DVDs. This holds true for the iMac pcs also, their whatever.app can play normal DVDs but not those that I've created.

I am getting a copy of my 'master' DVDs and the original source DVD, and I will be trying more to see if its just the Windows app or something more, but I fear its something on my setup or with the way k9copy or genisofs or something creates the data.
