k3b says theres no media when its wrong

k3b says theres no media when clearly there is a dvd recordable in the drive i tested othere blank disks too.

i checked out yast>system info>cdrom>dvd and it said dvd and cdrw but not dvdrw even thought it 'is' a dvdrw disk drive mabey the modules are broken i am using piix because elledgedly ata_piix had a problem which it does as does ata_generic and generic. currently I m using piix

i dont know how to get my iso burnt onto dvd any advice that will point me in the write direction will be super.

Can you confirm that k3b is seeing the drive? On the main page, they are listed in the top left corner. Also: Settings-->Configure....-->Devices

If permissions are not set up correctly, you might have to run k3b as root to get it to see the burner.
