K3b problem


I have already install k3b 0.8.1 on my suse 8.0 but it don't saving the settings after the setup dialog. So I can't run it!

Anyone with the same prob?

Can't you run it at all or can you actually start the program but not burn?

I can run only the setup and not the program! When I trying to open the program it tells me that first need to run setup, it don't saves the settings.

Try login as root.

Setup your k3b, don't forget to give users right to access.

Don't forget to run as root:
SuSEconfig
after every adjustment you made.

Login as user, setup your k3b. Run k3b ;-)

Thanks for the help but I 'm doing exacly this steps but k3b don't run! The problem is that it don't saves the settings.

I think you miss some crucial step when as root you configured k3b you have to add some users.

Does your K3b miss most of its buttons/options/menues as well?

That's my second problem along with yours. I will try the remedies of the other thread of Ice9 tough.

I have already added users but nothing....
No JZL240I-U doesn't miss anything

Run this in konsole as root and post the output:

cdrecord -scanbus
