k3b doesn't burn properly
What's up linux world??!!
ok here's my problem i am using k3b 0.10 when i burn cds like mp3 sometimes the filename get cut off and some of the extension are screwed up. Example lets say i burn these file: This_is_not_a_song.mp3 Linux_rules.mp3 Free_song.mp3 Extra_free_song.mp3 now when it burns it burns fine no problems reported, however; after when the cd is burn i check the files and 2 my suprise this is what happens This_is_not.mp Linux.m Free Extra_free_song.mp3 No some files are burn okay, some do not. Has anyone encounter the same problem?? Any advise or help would greatly be apprieciated thanks |
Could you give some examples of real file names before and after you burned them? I believe the filesystem used on CD-ROMS is different than the ones Linux and Windows use so there might be restrictions on what characters you can use in a filename. I remember that when I was using DirectCD in Windows, it would force me to change the filename if it was invalid, but apparently K3B is not doing so in your case.

ok. here are some, by the way i own these cds its just easier 2 carry 1 cd rather than 10 cds lol
Files before burning La India - Dicen Que Soy(1).mp3 La India - Ese hombre ( Salsa ).mp3 LATIN-SALSA - Los Adolecentes - Me tengo que ir.mp3 Nas & AZ,The Firm - Phone Tap.mp3 After they are burn LA_INDIA___DICEN_QUE_SOY_1_.MP3* LA_INDIA___ESE_HOMBRE___SAL.MP3* LOS_ADOLECENTES___ME_TENGO_.MP3* NAS___AZ_THE_FIRM___PHONE_T.MP3* mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm could it be the spaces???? don't know but i have played around w/ the options but no luck yet. |
I think it is complying to certain file system rules. What filesysem did you pick for K3B. I think you are using another filesystem other than Joliet. You may want to go through the options for K3B or make an iso image yourself.
