k3b cdrecord problems


Hi
i'm trying to burn a CD with k3b but no matter how many times i try to change write mode to
DAO TAO Raw

it will attempt to write as SAO
my burner doesnt support that to my knowledge so i receive error.

Your question is hardware dependent but you don't list the hardware. Don't do that next time. Set the driver to mmc-raw is my best guess.

i didnt think the hardware was relevant as it semi working and a k3b config error seems like the problem

but
IDE
Samsung 216B 16x CDRW drive
/dev/hdd

I can burn a CD from an ISO off my hdd
i can burn audiocds from mp3s


but i can't burn a cd from a compilation (a data cd)

never mind found reason for problem

These retarded 80min Sony CD-rs are only
79min.45sec (no the usual 79.57.75 of 80 min cds)
so they don't fit a 698meg file without over burn enabled.
