K3b burning MP3's
 

I installed k3b and k3b-mp3.

i burn mp3's using aduio mode and when i put the cd in a sterio all i get is what sounds like back feed...garbled crap

is there something else i need installed?

what version of k3b do u have installed?

its the kernel version I run suse 9.1 when I upgraded to kde3.3 I began to have the same problem as you if you go to the k3b website you will see the problem off to the right , you can upgrade your kernel and it will fix it.

k3b-mp3? Are you just burning mp3s - audio cds?
If so, k3b just uses the mad library (http://www.underbit.com/products/mad/) to decode to wav then cdrecord I believe to burn to audio cd (cdrecord dev=/dev/cdrw speed=32 -audio *.wav or something like that).
There is a problem with 2.6.8 and burning. If you are using 2.6.8 (check with uname) either downgrade to 2.6.7 or updgrade 2.6.9 (which I believe has resolved the issue)

kernel 2.6.9 hasn't resolve that problem,
i compiled it monday and i had several problems with it
so i downgraded also back to 2.6.7
