I am trying to burn data do a DVD with k3b, but I get strange errors.

:-( unable to anonymously mmap 67108864: Resource temporarily unavailable
Fatal error at startup: REsource temporarily unavailabe
mkisofs did not exit cleanly
Error while creating ISO image

I have a Plextor-716A. Running Arch 0.71 with stock kernel. 2.6.15-ARCH. dvd+rw-tools 6.1 Qt: 3.3.5; KDE: 3.5.0; K3b: 0.12.11

If any more information is required, I would be glad to give it out.

Any help is appreciated.

this is just a thought, but have you run K3b setup to set the permissions for burning. menu/Settings/k3b setup

I have. Modified permissions, added myself to group "optical". Still the same result. I can burn CDs just fine, and read DVDs. However, burning DVDs is still a problem.

I can't use k3b, though. I had to burn it from the command-line with growisofs.
