version in Debian 4.0 Etch as mine is only the 0.12.17 version and doesn't have the capability to rip cd music like the newer version I'm seeking.
You could check www.backports.org to see if anyone has built it for Etch or if the libraries have not changed that much then you can try getting the source from sid/unstable and rebuilding yourself from source for your install if wanting to try let me know.
